Chinese New Year Wish List

Today is a lovely Chinese New Year's eve morning. Well, during we welcoming the year 2010, I didn't wish anything because I quite busy and lazy to posting as well. So, today while we welcoming the Year of Tiger (my year) I would to post up my wish list for Year of Tiger and hope it will comes TRUE...

BOON WISH LIST FOR YEAR OF TIGER

(*) My mum & dad as well my family and friends stay in the pink of health and happily ever after.
(a) OBG Drama Studio theater piece, "你爱我吗？之一 卡门" will fully success. (Asst Director)
(b) ASWARA's PeTA (Graduation Showcase) theater, "Mulan and Mushu" will fully success (Stage Manager)
(c) ASWARA Film Faculty's Wayang Kulit Final Public Performance will fully success (Musician)
(d) "Mulan and Mushu" video promo will release successfully. (Director & Screen Writer)
(e) Maintain my CGPA pointer for this sem and so on.
(f) Write and direct my very first short film.
(g) Theater "Mulan and Mushu" can fly out from ASWARA and perform in KLPAC.
(h) Perform in Istana Budaya.
(i) Learn tradisional and comtemporary dance.
(j) Perform for a musical.
(k) Get thinner especially my face.

Bagan Lalang (Diary Edition)

During the Raya holiday, the gang of ASWARians having a trip to Bagan Lalang (a.k.a Sepang Gold Coast). This is really meaningful to all of us because this is our very first trip for ASWARians gang since we know each other in ASWARA... I'm so enjoy for this trip although we are just a few of us because some of our uni-mates going back to hometown for their dance performance... N' really nice to meet a new friend here (Nikki's friend), Kin Loong, the future pilot... Wish u can enter to the pilot school soon and hope u enjoy with us...

We sing, we eat, we drink, we play, we fly (kites) and we get crazy there... BUT, one funny stuff happen during this trip is... Gabby almost going to Port Dickson because Gabby, me, Kim and Aaron busy gossip~ing until take the wrong turning... Luckily, Kin Loong realize before we arrive to Port Dickson... ~huh~ if not, we gonna to picnic at Port Dickson and not Bagan Lalang...

I think all of us got sun~burnt after this trip... but I have a great memory with u guys... Thanks for giving me such a sweet memory to me in my life storybook.

Gamelan Practical Final Exam

Today, Abang Rizal told us about Gamelan Final Exam... I'm going to die because he said we have to play 3 different types of instrument in Gamelan (Bonang, Saron Peking, Saron Baron, Saron Demung, Gendang, Kenung, Gabang & Gong) and playing 3 songs individually plus another ensemble test... ~huh~ I think I will be more buzy after Raya...

Light OFF!!!

After 5 weeks of learning Wayang Kulit music, today we started to switch off the light and started to practise with our highest respect Tok Dalang, Pak Nasir. This is a really different from what we practise few weeks ago with the light on. We no longer can read the music note in the dark, we have to listen to Tok Dalang sounds the 'kayu kesah' to cue us end up the music and have to concentrate to the puppet movement so that we can change to another music of wayang kulit. I just know that what Pak Nasir said is TRUE... "Wayang Kulit's Music Is The Hardest Music In World"

Fasting

Having lunch in ASWARA during Ramadhan

Today is the first day, all the Malay student in my university fasting due to Ramadhan month. And I found that Ramadhan month in ASWARA is cool... There are no other people (majority in ASWARA is Malays student) except for us in the cafe during lunch time... Anyway, I have to fasting as well during the class cause I also have to respect other Malay students as they are fasting the whole day. But, it is quite fun cause I have a long time didn't surround by Malay students after I enter UTAR 2 years ago that almost 100% is Chinese. 1 thing really good in ASWARA is you really in the atmosphere of SATU MALAYSIA here...

Wayang Kulit

Wayang Kulit is really a very new stuff for me... I didn't see it before ... I didn't touch it before... But now, I have to learn everything about wayang kulit because wayang kulit is the compulsory subject in my university. I really have to work hard on this cause im still a newbie for this and have to do the best for the wayang kulit performance that is our final exam as well... so, last week... our Wayang Kulit's Master, Abang Kamarul have divided us on which classical instrument we play during the performance of wayang kulit... and guess what I got? I got CANANG. Do u guys have any idea about canang? Canang actually is an instrument with 2 metal plate that tie on a small rack and this instrument is very important for the music tempo... We have to master 8 tradition's song according to the wayang kulit's character for our final exam end of this sem... Hope I can do it!!!

Elective Courses

Today we have to register for our elective courses (other faculties courses beside film faculty) ... This really make me headache. Don't know what wanna to choose... too many stuff wanna to learn especially courses in theater faculty... BUT there are many subject that I wish to take crash with our own courses class... DAMN IT!!! But anyway... just leave it first because I still have 13 days to complete it and senior said that the timetable will still keep changing.... So, I just relax at lecture hall and listen to the piano sound... (is quite good to have music student in university)

ASWARA Camp

From 19 July to 23 July, my badge from all faculties going for a camp at Cermas Agro Park Bentong, Pahang... Too bad, there not much pictures for this camp because our university management doesn't allow us to take handphone and they keep it for us... so sad~ But anyway, really a lot of experience I get here... (I think many activities here are more tougher than activities in national service). First time I got LUMPUR all over my body, face and even my hair and many more lar...(lazy wanna to type lar)

Finally on the last day, we got our handphone back.... So HAPPY...!!! Can take pictures... BUT... Too bad... the phone is almost out of battery... ~huh~ but luckily still can take some pictures...

蓝色旋耀

This morning, I go to my secondary school, Setapak High School due to the 6th Chinese Singing Competition Among School in KL and Selangor. Well, this year theme are 蓝色旋耀 (Opss! I don't know what the meaning in English hahaha!) Every year I will go to watch this competition to see my junior hardwork. But, what make me surprise this year is my brother become the MC for this competition... Ha! Ha! Ha!

John 黄俊源 come to our school as this competition special guest... Overall, ok lar this year competition. Just it doesn't have the crowd compare to previous year... Anyway, well done...

Oliver Twist The Musical

Due to Aswara's Theater Festival (Penilaian Tahun Akhir 2009) , there are six theater by final year students showing on every night from 7-12 June 2009. Oliver Twist The Musical is the grand production of Aswara this year whereby almost all the Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3 student from Theater Faculty, Dance Faculty, Music Faculty, Film Faculty and Writing Faculty taking part in this production. Not forget, more than 20 children from the NurSalam Orphanage and Sultan Hishamudin Primary School also taking part in this production.

Time vs Me

I hate time. Don't you? When you want time to slow down, like when you are having too much fun, it speeds up. When you want it too go faster, like when yoou are bred or are having a bad day, it slows down. You just can't trust time. Not the past, not the present, not the future.

The past is every second of your life up until now. Up until NOW. See how quickly the present is gobbled up by the past? The present is..... Sorry, it's already gone. Hmmmmmm..., is was just here a minute ago.

The future is every second of your life not yet written. It's tomorrow. It's twenty years from now. It is happening in one minute so sit up straight kid and look alive. But here's the stupid part. As soon you arrive in the future it disappears and becomes the present, and then, before you know it, it's gobbled up and become your past.

And that is why I hate time. It's sneaky and tricky.

Winter Farewell

Pei Pei gonna to leave us...~~~ she gonna to move back to north Malaysia with her boyfriend to built up their career... I knows her since July 2006 in "Winter Time". She is really a good girl and clever on kira-kira as well... Ha! Ha! Ha! n she great in saving money also... Anyway, take care and hope u enjoy our WINTER friendship in "Winter Time" and hope u enjooys this farewell that we make specially for you in a winter atmosphere restaurant (15 degree celcius). Hope u remember every moment in "Winter Time"... When u get married, remember to call us.... Far far also we will goooo... Ha! Ha!

It's a boring working tuesday's night... Suddenly someone bought us a big box of STRAWBERRIES... Yummy!!! It make my working tuesday's night so fast... After me and my colleague finish the whole box of strawberries ... it's the time to go back home... Ha! Ha! Ha! Thanks strawberris and also the person who bought the big box of strawberries cause it makes my working flew away so fast...

28 April 2009... Me, EJ and Gino when to watch Bangsawan Mahsuri at Istana Budaya... This is the second time I come to Istana Budaya after Puteri Gunung Ledang Musical... WOW!!! Is really a great theater... Grand backdrop setting with the stage technology itself... Great performers (around 50++ actor make the theater damn grand and I love the antagonist charactor - She did damn good job and make u wanna to slap her... Ha! Ha! Ha!-)... Colourful costumes (even it is just normal baju Melayu and kebaya but the colours make you WOW!!! Great music and dance (not only High School Musical and Mamma Mia can did those great music but Malaysia you did it...-I really like the first and the second song of Bangsawan Mahsuri... really a happy song that will make wanna to dance together-)

David Archuleta Showcase@Sunway Lagoon Amphitheater

Last Saturday, I and my classmate going to sunway lagoon just to watch American Idol runner-up David Archuleta in action. and got the from my classmate as well since nobody going to accompany her to there... We go there quite early, right after our class... Ha! Ha! Ha! Although quite a lot of people already at there BUT luckily we got the place just right below the stage...

David Archuleta's song is damn very very very nice and he was so great... Suddenly I become a little fan of David Archuleta...
